I am Int. IPP. Piyathma De Zoysa, the President of the Interact Club of Royal Institute for the years 2023/2024. I am a student at Royal Institute, Havelock Town branch, and I am 17 years old, born in 2007. As an Interactor, I’ve had the opportunity to be involved in numerous club projects, as well as district initiatives such as Interflash, Interaction, and Intercede. During my tenure as the president, the club successfully executed 55 projects, and we were honoured to be recognized as a Diamond Standard club for the second consecutive year, an achievement that represents the highest distinction for an Interact Club. Additionally, I was appointed as the District Finance Director of the Interact District Steering Committee for the 2024/2025 term.

Current status 

I am currently pursuing my A Levels while serving as the District Finance Director of the Interact District 3220, Sri Lanka and the Maldives for the years 2024/2025. 

Thoughts about the movement  

Becoming a part of the Interact movement has been one of the best decisions of my life, as it has imparted invaluable life skills. The connections that I have formed are irreplaceable, and the memories created throughout this journey are the ones that will be cherished for a lifetime. As an introvert, this movement offered me the exposure I once lacked, and I am deeply grateful for every individual I’ve met along the way. It has also been an incredible opportunity to face real-world situations, make mistakes, and learn from them.
