“I’m working late, ’cause I’m an editor.” – Int. Tharuli Thehasna, my bestfriend.

I am Int. Sammani Mudannayaka, 15 years old, and I have been actively involved in the Interact movement for nearly three years. I currently serve as the Editor of ICRI for the second consecutive year and have recently taken on the role of Directress of Public Relations for 2024/25. In my first year, while still a member, I had the privilege of working closely with the District Media Crew as a Graphic Designer and Photographer, where I was recognized as “Best Editor” for 2022/23.

In addition to my work with ICRI, I’ve contributed to other key clubs and events, including serving as Directress of PR for the Royal Institute Model United Nations (RIMUN) and Head of PR, IT, and Media for RIMUNC.

• Chairperson of Greenlife Avenue: 2nd Runners-Up in InterVenture 2022/23
• Chairperson of Blissfully Green: Nominated for the “Innovation Award” in InterVenture 2022/23

Key Contributions:
• Edited key ICRI projects, including Desi Night ’23 and InterVenture, among others
• Founded and chaired ICRI’s first-ever website

Currently, I’m an AS level student at the Royal Institute, Maharagama branch, and I’m freelancing for high-end companies while serving in the media-related roles for ICRI. Additionally, I’m a Senior Prefect at my school.

Being part of the Interact movement has been about much more than service; it has given me the opportunity to develop leadership skills and collaborate on meaningful projects with others, allowing me to express my creativity and refine my skills in unexpected ways. Looking back, I appreciate the experiences and connections I’ve made, with many more memories yet to come. Despite the challenges of late nights and balancing commitments, I’m grateful for the growth that both successes and setbacks have brought me, helping me evolve both personally and professionally.
